Frequently asked questions
Does my project need an EMMP?
If your planning approval or agency correspondence includes environmental monitoring or management conditions (common near nature reserves, parks, waterbodies and green corridors), an EMMP is typically required. Share your conditions with us and we will advise.
When should the EMMP be prepared?
Before works begin. The pre-construction baseline must be established ahead of site clearance, and agencies generally expect the approved EMMP to be in place before mobilisation.
What happens if monitoring finds a problem?
The EMMP defines thresholds and corrective actions in advance. If an exceedance or incident occurs, the agreed protocol is activated, corrective action is taken and documented, and the relevant parties are notified as the plan requires.
